CVP Speaker Series @ GW Event: Women in Engineering Charting the Path to Leadership

Fairfax, Virginia – September 4, 2020Customer Value Partners (CVP), a business and technology consulting firm that helps organizations prepare for a culture of Continuous Change, will be partnering with The George Washington University (GW) School of  Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS) to hold a free virtual speaker series, “Women in Engineering: Charting the Path to Leadership,” starting on October 7, 2020, 12:00 PM (ET).

The following women leaders will serve as the event’s panelists: Andrea Norris, Director, Center for Information Technology, and Chief Information Officer (CIO), National Institutes of Health (NIH); Maria Roat, Deputy Federal Chief Information Officer (CIO), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Office of the Chief Information Officer; Professor Shelly Heller, Ph.D., Director, Center for Women in Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), GW; and Sonja Lemott, Chief, PEO Engineering Division, Program Executive Office (PEO), Defense Healthcare Management Systems (DHMS). Lisa Brown, CVP’s VP of Operations will act as moderator for this panel. 

The speakers will share their career experiences and provide recommendations for young women entering the workforce, as well as leaders looking to increase the percentage of women engineers in their workplace. Topics will include: How to find your engineering-based career path–technology leader or corporate leader, what successful mentoring looks like in corporate and government organizations, and more.

The audience for the event will include GW alumni and current students, as well as Government and industry attendees.
