Former USCIS CISO Andrew Onello Joins CVP as Director of Cybersecurity Services
Fairfax, Virginia, July 16, 2018 — Accomplished cybersecurity executive Andrew Onello has joined CVP, a business and technology company, in the newly-created role of Director of Cybersecurity Services.
Andrew Onello brings years of experience in cybersecurity, having served as the Chief Information Security Officer and the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and as the Security Assessment and Penetration Testing Lead at the DHS Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Prior to both USCIS and ICE positions, Mr. Onello managed the cybersecurity section at DHS Headquarters, supporting the Information Technology Services Office as both a Federal employee and a contractor. Before joining the federal government, Mr. Onello was a consultant for Creative Computing Solutions Inc. and Booz Allen Hamilton. He has a wide range of commercial information security experience leading investigations as part of the incident response team at AOL LLC, and has served as a police officer in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Mr. Onello holds a BS in Computer Science from Virginia Military Institute and is pursuing his Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
