EBMS Program Wins 2018 FedHealthIT Innovation Award
Fairfax, VA, June 7, 2018 – The Defense Health Agency’s (DHA), Enterprise Blood Management Systems (EBMS) project has been recognized by the leading news and information company, FedHealthIT, with an Innovation Award for 2018. The award recognizes the strategic modernization of its two capabilities: EBMS-Donor and EBMS-Transfusion. This year, 26 innovative federal programs were honored as recipients of the award. CVP, a business and technology consulting company, provides project management support for the successful operation and sustainment of both EBMS capabilities.
The EBMS project has made innovative advancements in support of the Armed Services Blood Program. EBMS’s modernization project enhances the Military Health System’s blood capabilities by providing enterprise-wide functionality for donor centers and blood banks worldwide. The EBMS project was selected by peers for driving innovation and results within the military health care system. The awards ceremony will be held on June 12, 2018 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. from 1-5 pm.
