Fairfax, VA – March 15, 2018 – CVP, a business and technology consulting company, has partnered with The George Washington University (GW), to create an ongoing speaker series focused on change, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The CVP Speaker Series @ GW will debut on April 25, 2018 at GW’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and will feature globally recognized champion of positive #ChangeAgents and expert on leadership in turbulent environments Dr. David Bray.
Dr. Bray has served in different positive #ChangeAgent capacities, including leading the technology response for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Program to 9/11, anthrax in 2001, SARS, monkeypox in 2003, and other outbreaks. He was also a Senior Strategic Advisor in Afghanistan in 2009 helping to “think differently” on military and humanitarian efforts in the region, Executive Director for the National Commission for the Review of the Research and Development Programs of the U.S. Intelligence Community, and Chief Information Officer for the FCC from 2013-2017. Dr. Bray’s keynote is entitled “Needed Now More Than Ever: Positive #ChangeAgents Across Sectors,” and will focus on why and how we all can be #ChangeAgents in our rapidly changing world while highlighting meaningful multi-sector strategies for delivering results differently and better. Dr. David Bray is currently Executive Director of People-Centered Internet coalition founded by Internet co-creator Vint Cerf; a visiting Executive-In-Residence at Harvard, Oxford, and Singularity Universities; and Chief Strategy Officer of MapLarge. He was identified as one of the top “24 Americans Who Are Changing the World” under 40 by Business Insider.
Speakers from diverse verticals and organizations will be featured in a combination of keynotes, panels, roundtables, and brown bag discussions. Attendees will consist of students, faculty, alumni and others in the GW community; CVP clients, prospects, and partners; and media.
“As CVP enters its 15th year in business, we continue to witness first-hand an accelerated rate of change in the markets we serve and in society in general,” says CVP’s CEO and founder, and GW double alumnus, Anirudh Kulkarni. “The speaker series is an opportunity to shape and elevate the discourse around topics that today’s enterprises must master as they embark on their own continuous change journey. I know how committed the university and SEAS are to the topics that will be core to the CVP Speaker Series @ GW, making GW an ideal partner for this series.”
“SEAS is delighted to partner with Mr. Kulkarni and CVP to bring Dr. Bray and other top speakers to campus,” said David Dolling, dean of SEAS. “SEAS is working to prepare our students for the increased role that innovation and disruption will play in their careers, and these talks will be a thought-provoking way to help achieve this.
