CVP Wins Military Blood Management Support Contract
Fairfax, Virginia, June 9, 2017 — CVP, through its joint venture Alliant SB CTA, LLC (ASC), has won a contract to provide program management services for the Enterprise Blood Management System (EBMS) at the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The four-year deal (base year plus three option years) is ASC’s first contract with DHA. CVP serves as technical lead on the project.
The EBMS platform comprises two services: EBMS-Transfusion and EBMS-Donor that enhance the information workflow to collect and distribute blood for the Military Health Service. They integrate blood banking management, collection and transfusion activities, product inventory management, transport, availability, and traceability. The Department of Defense is a world leader in blood management systems, which play a vital role in the military’s health care system.
CVP’s involvement with military health care expands CVP’s substantial health care knowledge and capabilities previously based on its experience with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the private health care industry.
“In terms of what we do, it fuses our abilities across process management, organizational change management, as well as advanced technology and innovation,” said Anirudh Kulkarni, CEO of CVP. “It’s the combination of those disciplines that we apply to our clients’ business mission and move the needle on performance.”
