CVP Wins CMS Final Phase of CMS’ MIPS Mobile Challenge

Fairfax, VA – November 30, 2016 – Customer Value Partners (CVP) has won the final phase of the Medicare Program’s Merit Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Mobile Challenge from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).  The challenge includes CVP’s winning creation of a mobile solution to reach 1.2M eligible clinicians, many that are located in small clinical practices and just starting to deal with electronic health records. CVP has been awarded $25,000 for winning the final challenge.

CVP was one of five teams that initially received $10,000 each for winning the Phase 1 Challenge.  CVP’s design focused on helping clinicians and support staff to navigate Medicare’s Quality Payment Program. The challenge is designed to change the way Medicare physicians are paid for providing quality care through the Quality Payment Program (QPP), focusing on solving the problem that many of the 1.2 Million Clinicians and their staff will face – the ability to easily access information that is relevant to enable successful reporting in the new Merit Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) program. Clinicians that are aware of the program still need to know and understand when things are changing. The Quality Payment Program offers many options that clinicians will need to successfully navigate.

Phase I of the Challenge focused primarily on the User-centered design and innovative approaches to the Challenge. Phase 2 focused on the implementation and integration of features from Phase 1, and user experience testing.
