CVP Expands Role in Technical Assistance for Health Insurance Access
Fairfax, VA – March 7, 2016 – CVP has earned a spot on the CSRA team that will be working on the CMS Marketplace Assister Technical Services (MATS) Program to provide technical assistance and support to In-Person Enrollment Assisters in the Federally Funded Marketplace for health insurance. CVP’s tasks include providing quality assurance and data analytics, training content development, and technical support for In-Person Assisters. The MATS program helps consumers obtain health insurance under the Affordable Care Act by improving training and support available to In-Person Assisters. These include Navigators, Enrollment Assistance Program personnel, Certified Application Counselors, and agents and brokers. CVP will update and supplement current educational materials and training. It will also develop a set of core capabilities that In-Person Assisters should master to handle enrollment cases, especially those that have complex eligibility issues or come from difficult-to-enroll populations.
