    Fairfax, VA – September 25, 2015 – Customer Value Partners has been selected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as the new development and maintenance contractor for Quality Management and Review Systems (QMARS).

    QMARS is a national case management and review system administered by CMS Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ) to allow the Beneficiary and Family-Centered Care (BFCC) Quality Improvement Networks (QIOs) to track medical records within their organization and perform online case review (Diagnostic Related Groups, Quality, and/or Utilization). The system will track Beneficiary Complaint, Hospital Issued Notice of Non-coverage (Fee-For-Service (FFS)); Medicare Appeals (MA) and Benefits Improvement and Protection Act (BIPA); and Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA). QIOs are specialized collaborative networks of health quality experts, clinicians and consumers organized to improve the care delivered to people with Medicare, protect the integrity of the Medicare Trust Fund and do so expeditiously.

    CCSQ’s key goal is to ensure that the beneficiary complaint processes are efficient, functional, secure and well documented in the provision of timely, fair service in support of both beneficiaries and health providers. The QMARS system runs on a Pega business process management platform that provides automated workflow to support reporting and analysis of these cases.
