CVP and CTB/McGraw-Hill Win Department of Education Streamlined Acquisition Tool (SAT) Contract
Fairfax, VA – February 24 , 2010 – Customer Value Partners, an award-winning business and IT consulting firm, and CTB/McGraw-Hill, a leading provider of high quality educational assessment products and services for the K-12 and adult education markets, have today announced that they have teamed and been awarded the Department of Education Streamlined Acquisition Tool (ED-SAT) blanket purchase agreement (BPA) for Pool B – Research and Assessment Design, Data Collection and Analysis.
CTB/McGraw-Hill will provide psychometricians and research statisticians to support this offering. CTB is known internationally for providing research and assessment development and analysis design to state departments of education for more than 80 years. “We are pleased to team with CVP to support the Department of Education,” said Ellen Haley, president of CTB/McGraw-Hill. “Our extensive experience in assessment design and implementation complements CVP’s capabilities nicely – with our staff of researchers we are well equipped to provide DoED with defensible data they will require to evaluate trends in education, including technology-based assessment and other methodologies.”
CVP personnel have assisted the Department of Education and other federal agencies in designing and improving the quality of the performance measurement process, performance data, and the system and method by which data are collected. The combined team will support task orders to provide the Department of Education with detailed data about external program effectiveness and other important conditions and trends in education. Products from these activities will be used to monitor performance and progress or develop analyses of factors that influence results. Reports will be used to inform Congress and the public about educational outcomes.
