May 4, 2009 | Award, News Release

Fairfax, VA – May 4, 2009 – Customer Value Partners (CVP), an award-winning business and IT consultancy, today announced that the Virginia Chamber of Commerce has named them to the Virginia FANTASTIC 50 for the third year running. CVP has not only maintained tremendous growth, but also continues to invest in programs to foster entrepreneurship in the region.

“We applaud the entrepreneurial spirit of the strong growth companies in our region and are honored to be counted among them. Fast growth means the need for agility, keeping costs down, and investing in the future, regardless of economic factors, in order to serve our clients’ needs in innovative ways, as well as add to the regional economic base,” remarked Anirudh Kulkarni, Managing Principal of CVP. The winning companies were saluted at the annual awards banquet held at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly on April 30th. Former Attorney General of Virginia Bob McDonnell delivered the featured remarks at the event.

“These growing companies are proof positive that optimism is very much alive in Virginia’s business community,” said Hugh Keogh, president of the Virginia Chamber. “Small businesses are the very life blood of the Virginia economy, creating jobs necessary to revitalize the Commonwealth following the recent worldwide financial crisis.”

About the Awards

The Fantastic 50 award program is sponsored by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Virginia Business Magazine, Goodman and Company, SunTrust Bank and the Westfields Marriott. The networking reception prior to the awards banquet was sponsored by SAIC. Multi-media sponsors include Alion Science and Technology, Washington Gas and In Your Ear.

Nominations for the Fantastic 50 were sought statewide from local chambers, economic development organizations, small business development centers and through the sponsors’ networks. Companies could also nominate themselves. To be eligible, companies were required to be privately held, with headquarters in Virginia, and to show sales between $200,000 and $100 million. They were judged on a four-year sales revenue history. Verification of all award entries was conducted by the accounting firm of Goodman and Company.
