Press ReleasesAugust 18, 2006 Department of State Program Management Office WinCustomer Value Partners (CVP) today announced that it has won a prime award by the General Services Administration (GSA) FEDSIM to provide program integration and program management consulting services for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security's Strategic Planning Branch (SPB) at the Department of State. The mission of the SPB is to provide the Policy and Planning Division (PPD) with the necessary skills and data management and technical training and expertise to institutionalize methods, processes, and standard management techniques to enhance the Department's program/project management ability and build on industry best practices. The objective of this contract is to provide PPD with project management and management information systems expertise to strengthen selected SPB program areas and ensure that core personnel are familiar with program management techniques and practices. The five-year contract award, announced on August 8, 2006, has the goal of establishing a comprehensive strategic policy, planning and analysis program for the Bureau with the objective of instituting a logical, integrated framework to support all policy, planning and programmatic efforts. The contract consists of a base period and four option years, and was awarded under GSA's MOBIS schedule. |
