CVP in the NewsMay 28 , 2008 Felix Chang Publishes on the Danger of Foreign Market Manipulation to the U.S. EconomyFairfax, VA, May 28, 2008. Felix Chang, Partner at CVP Ventures, was recently published in two national current affairs journals. His articles, “Deterring the Debt Weapon” and “Meddling in the Markets: Foreign Manipulation,” appear in The American Interest (May/June 2008 issue) and the U.S. Army War College’s Parameters (Spring 2008 issue, http://www.carlisle.army.mil/usawc/Parameters/08spring/chang.htm) and were co-written by Jonathan Goldman, a partner at Silverado Partners and former managing director and global head of emerging market currency trading at Bank of America. Mr. Chang and Mr. Goldman analyze the possible threat to the U.S. economy arising from the growing ability of foreign countries to manipulate international financial and commodities markets. The essays examine China as a case study to illustrate the danger and go on to outline the defensive measures U.S. government agencies and regulators could implement to help mitigate the threat without unnecessarily burdening or interfering with the normal function of those markets. The essays are representative of Customer Value Partners’ continued dedication to leverage the knowledge of commercial sector expertise to help the public sector ensure the safety and security of U.S. national institutions.
